Abstract

The change in social interaction occur in the society especially agricultural community in Sukamulya due to the construction of West Java International Airport (BIJB). Social interaction is carried out by several people, among the community and the government to achieve the same goal, namely the creation of harmony and prosperity in society. The purpose of this study is to analyze social changes in development project West Java International Airport in Sukamulya. The research method used in this studywas qualitative. Informants in this study were 19 people consisting of 5 farmers, 3 traders, 3 airport employees, 5 village heads, and 5 community leaders, 2 village government officials, and 1 religious figure. Data collection techniques with observation were carried out by observing the daily behavior of the farming community on the impact of airport development, interviews were conducted with in-depth interviews with informants and documentation in this study includes photographs and documents that are considered important. The validity of the data in this study usedsource triangulation techniques. The results showed that interactions that occurred in society experience changes such as the weakening of mutual cooperation between communities, increasing individualistic attitudes, people's mindset becomes more productive, also more consumptive in lifestyle. Changes in livelihoods change people's mindset about the importance of education. Social inequalities that occurred in society were influenced by unequal income inequality of each community.

Abstract

Environment content-based teaching material construction for social studies has become the prototype of the environment content-based social studies learning module for class VII SMPN students in Cirebon. Based on how to develop the construction of the social studies teaching material in accordance with the social studies learning nature so the positive impact on social studies learning activities. This research is R&D development with Borg and model Gall. The purpose of research in this research is to develop the construction of an environmental-based social studies teaching material that suits the types of social studies learning so that it positively affects the learning activities of social studies. The construction of the environmental-based social studies teaching materials in Cirebon, covering several phases including intelligence, schematic, assimilation and accommodation, equalization, and interiorization. The final result of this study is the development of an environmental-based social studies learning module with emphasis on students cognitive structure through the process of the asimilasi and the accommodation supported by direct visits to the Cirebon Kasepuhan. All experiences involve two similar processes such as introduction, or knowing, in connection with the assimilation process, and accommodation that results in a cognitive structure modification. These modifications can be shown as a learning process. Students show the environment-based social studies modules can also be a solution to improve quality in social studies learning

Abstract

Social inquality and learning achievements students in gender perspective. The research aim is identifying social behaviour of male students and women students, analyzing the learning achievement of students on gender perspective. A qualitative approach used with participative observation methode. Informant research was the teachers, teacher counselling and student X, XI, XII. Data collection techniques with observation, result of interviews and documentation learning students. Data analysis techniques use Harvard gender analysis include access, control, participation and benefits. The validity of data in this reserch is using triangulation techniques. Research results suggest that all students have equal occasion in a learning procession at class to achieve learning accomplishments. Behavior of boy students are more aggressive in uproar at the class, difficult to be, the informing in frequently weak in exposing the material and has low learning achievement. Teacher can develope a implementation of learning in class based on gender perspective.

Abstract

Deviations in adolescent behavior disrupt the upholding of social systems, cultural values, norms, rules and customs existing in society. The aims of the studies is to analyze the role of Karang Taruna in overcoming adolescent behavioral deviations in Somogede Village. The focus of the study covered the forms and causes of adolescent behavioral deviations and ways of adolescent coaching conducted by Karang Taruna of Somogede Village. The research approach used qualitative-phenomenology. The data collection was carried out by interviewing informants of teenagers, Karang Taruna coaches, village officials, parents and community leaders, Observation of the socio-cultural environment and document studies. The results showed that forms of adolescent behavioral deviations who violated social values and norms such as smoking, drinking and drug consuming, watching pornographic content, unhealthy dating, cursing and not respecting older people, while delinquency that was breaking the law such as the use of underage vehicles. The causes of adolescent deviations were from peer relationships, imperfect socialization, deviant subculture, poor parental, parental supervision and technological development and modernization. The role of Karang Taruna was played by giving youth coaching activities aimed at becoming good community members. The research conclusion explain that deviation violates the social values and law. The role of Karang Taruna is giving guidance and training in sport and social fields. The new finding behind globalization’s adolescent deviation is the use of technology among peers. The objectives of this study can be used as social controller through handling deviant behavior of teenager.

Abstract

The problem that is happening almost in every country is poverty. Some policies have been taken by the government for poverty alleviation, such as the Hope Family Program (PKH) that has existed since 2007. The problem in the case study is (1) what is the form of PKH assistance? (2) what is the role of PKH’s human resources? (3) the effect of PKH aid on poor families? The aim is to analyze the forms of PKH assistance, the role of PKH’s human resources and the impact of the PKH in Wonopringgo, Pekalongan Regency. The research method used is qualitative with the research design of the case study. The population in this study were PKH’s KPM, PKH's human resources, the village government. Data collection techniques through observation, interview and documentation. Validation of data through triangulation techniques. The results show that PKH’s KPM not only receives cash assistance but also complementary assistance. The role of PKH is to examine the various commitments of PKH participants as obligations that must be met. As a result, on the one hand it can make people realize their independent life, but on the other hand there are still people who are mentally poor.

Abstract

Important values ​​of democracy are nurtured in Indonesia as the diverse community of Indonesia, including Girl Junior High School Nawa Kartika of Nahdlotul Ulama, is a school with students from different regions, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. This study aimed to describe and analyze the growth of democratic values, reactions, effects and barriers to the growth of democratic values ​​in multicultural students at Girl Junior High School Nawa Kartika of Nahdlotul Ulama. This study uses descriptive qualitative explanatory methods, which is to describe the situation and analyze something or what is happening when the research is done with data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews and documentation, to check the validity of data in qualitative research, then the level of data confidence using triangulation techniques comparing the sources of data obtained. The growth of democratic values ​​in Girl Junior High School Nawa Kartika of Nahdlotul Ulama was carried out through Intra and extracurricular activities. Intramural, such as: Social Sciences, Charter Education and Citizenship, Curriculum Learning 2013, and Class Counseling. Extracurricular activities, such as student council activities, Child Scouts, NU Women's Student Association, and Class meetings. Emerging democratic values ​​include justice, freedom, participation, tolerance, criticism, honesty, respect for diversity and resolving conflicts peacefully and voluntarily. Feeling effects include students being more aware and able to apply the value of democracy to their daily lives in their surroundings.

Abstract

Disrupting behavioral issues can be social development of young people in the interaction that effective with others and the environment. The objectives of this study to analyze students social skills, explain and analyze the role of social studies teachers to form students' social skills.Focus research includes the characteristics of social skill and role of teachers in their experiences social studies.The research approach used is descriptive qualitative research with a design case study.The data collection was carried out by interviewing informants consisting of students, social studies teachers, guidance counseling teachers and school principals.Observation performed on learning process social studies in the classroom.The research results show that the characteristics of social skill on students interpersonal that in behavior, behavior that deals with yourself, behavior that deals with academic success, the reception of their peers, and how to communicate.Social studies learning that used lecture method to be problem based learning method requires students to learn independently. The research conclusion is the role of social studies teachers in learning in the classroom has an important role to form the social skills of students, especially with the cooperation with students. The new finding the teacher social studies in learning indicated with awareness teachers in evaluating myself and innovation in provide learning active and pleasing in the classroom.

Abstract

Motorcycle incorporated in Paguyuban Angkutan Sepeda motor Muria (PASMM) or Muria Motorcycle Transportation Association is the main job of the community in Colo Village, Kudus Regency. The monopoly of PASMM in Colo Village is inseparable from a number of pilgrims in Sunan Muria. Based on this phenomenon, this study aimed at describing and analyzing socio-cultural background, social capital, and the increase in the family income of the members of PASMM motorcycle in Colo Village. The research methode used is to use a qualitative approach. Meanwhile, the data used were primary data, and secondary data. These data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. For the interviews, the researchers involved the members of PASMM motorcycle. They were selected using simple random sampling, and grouped into two, namely morning shift group and evening shift group. The results showed that: (1) PASMM had 391 members divided into two shifts, namely morning shift group, and evening shift group; (2) it had social capital in form of trust, norms, and network which established mutual trust among the members; (3) the income earned by the members of PASMM ranged from Rp 75,000 to Rp 150.000,00 per day. What is important from this findings was the solidarity among PASMM members to maintain the existence of PASMM from online taxi. Its existence was proved by the rule stating that the only person who is able to be PASMM member is the native people of Colo Village. The findings can contribute some significances. First, they can be a reference for the development of the use of social media. Second, they can improve the welfare of PASMM members in Colo Village.

Abstract

A strategic development program that is a global concern is the achievement of sustainable development goals. The goal of sustainable development has 17 achievement targets, one of which is gender equality and empowerment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the empowerment of women of character-based fishing families in Kedawung Village, Banyuputih District, Batang Regency. A qualitative approach, type of social descriptive research, primary, secondary and tertiary data sources. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation. The results showed that the characteristics of women in fishermen families in Kedawung Village were social and economic independence in entrepreneurship. Women's empowerment has been effective in the Fishermen Village, supported by the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in the form of entrepreneurial processed fishers, as well as providing a sales platform in a particular market for fishers. The benefits of this research are expected to provide information on what can be done in effective empowerment for women in fishing families in the fields and forms of empowering women in fishermen’s families.

Abstract

Failure to harvest that caused by weather/climate factors is a serious problem for farmers. There problems cause low productivity of farmers. Climate field school became a solution to increase the farmer’s capacity in managing agricultural area. The purpose of this study is to examine the capacity of farmers from climate change. Analyzing the adaptation of farmers to climate change. This research was conducted quantitatively with quantitative descriptive methods. The population of this study was all 25 farmer participants of CFS. The techniques of collecting data were through questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques using questionnaire data analysis and descriptive analysis. The results in this study showed that the farmers’ capacity in the Banyurip Village had a very high capacity with an average percentage which is reaching 76.4%. Farmer adaptation strategies to climate change are increasing, which is marked by a change from conventional way to more effective and efficient treatments. Farmer adaptation behavior is characterized by increased attitudes in the management of irrigation systems, determination of tolerant rice varieties, analysis of soil content and study of cropping patterns.
